We Believe...
...the Bible alone is the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and, in its original form, utterly without error. It was given by God for the establishment of all Christian doctrine.
(2Timothy 3:16, 2Peter 1:20-21, Romans 15:4)...the Bible has no plurality of meaning, therefore there is but one singular Truth that we must seek whereby all men can be saved.
(2Timothy 3:16, 2Peter 1:20-21)...there is one God. He is eternal, infinite in power, and holy in nature. God has revealed himself to man as Father in the creation of all things, through the Son in the redemption of man, and now as the Holy Spirit who dwells in and empowers the true believer.
(Deut. 6:4, Mark 12:29, 1Corinthians 8:6, 2Corinthians 5:18-19, Ephesians 4:4-6)...that Jesus Christ is the only-begotten Son of God and that all the fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Him bodily. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died a vicarious death. His death and subsequent resurrection purchased salvation from the penalty of sin for all those who would follow Him.
(John 3:16, Colossians 1:15-20, 2:9, Luke 1:35, Ephesians 1:20,Romans 3:21-25)...repentance from sin is the initial and required step of faith toward salvation. Repentance requires that we recognize that we are sinners, confess our sins to God, and are truly sorry for our sin. Only the truly repentant can come before God.
(Acts 2:38, Matthew 4:17, 2 Peter 3:9, Acts 17:3, Luke 18:13, Proverbs 28:13, 2Corinthians 7:10)...that all those who repent must submit to water baptism in the Name of Jesus for the remission of sin. This baptism washes away our sins, brings about forgiveness, and identifies us with the burial of Jesus Christ.
(Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, 1Peter 3:21, Matthew 2:19, Mark 16:16, Romans 6:3-8)...the baptism (infilling) of the Holy Spirit is the endowment of supernatural power to every true believer, as promised by Jesus Christ. The Spirit enables us to live a holy and overcoming life, escaping our carnal mind and nature.
(Acts 1:5-8, John 7:39, 14:16, Acts 2:38-39)...according to the Book of Acts, the baptism of the Holy Spirit falling on believers is evidenced by their speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives them utterance.
(Acts 2:4, 8:14-17, 10:44-46, 19:6)...that the 5-fold ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers is to be functional within the body of Christ for the perfecting of believers until the Lord's return.
(Ephesians 4:11-16, Colossians 1:28)...in the priesthood of the believer. All who are born of God have equal status and access to the Throne of God.
(1Peter 2:5-9, Romans 2:11, Ephesians 2:12-18)...that every believer should depart from sin, understanding that salvation is only the beginning of our journey toward fellowship with God. All who seek God will live a life that is holy and pleasing to the Lord, being not conformed to the world, but transformed by the Spirit. The freedom we find in Christ is not license to sin, but rather the opportunity to live in the joy of righteousness.
(Romans 12:1-2, 2Timothy 2:19, Hebrews 6:1, Colossians 3:9-10, 2Corinthians 3:18, Revelation 2:14-15)...in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, the literal rule of Christ upon Earth, the resurrection of the just to everlasting life and the unjust to everlasting damnation, and the ultimate, final victory of the eternal Kingdom of God.
(Acts 1:9-11, 1Thessalonians 4:16, Acts 24:15, Revelation 11:15, 20:11-15, 21:27, 22:1-7)
